Wallace Carothers to C. M. A. Stine

          Reproduction from an undated memorandum
          Collection of Jane C. Wylen

        Text reads:

"The most impressive current work in organic chemistry is that of Fischer on the structure of hemin. Dr. Conant is probably better qualified to review this work than anyone else in this country. Rusicka's striking and very finished researches on the constitution of the musks would readil[y] lend themselves to semi-popular exposition Professor Bogert at Columbia or Dr. R. C. Fuson at the University of Illinois could write about them. Dr. Adams' study of the effect of various fatty acids on B. leprae is one of the most systematic and succesful pieces of research in the field of chemo-therapy. He might be willing to write a popular article about it."
