questions involve understanding technologies which were born out of the application of
scientific understanding.

The questions require historical knowledge of polymer chemistry and probe the nature of
scientific knowledge, thought, and method.
Unifying Concepts and Processes —
The questions test the students' understanding of many systems that operate on the molecular
level.
