Tea Punch

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1½ tsp. whole cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1 Tbs. jasmine tea, or Fort Madison tea
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 orange, juiced
  • ½ cup unsweetened pineapple juice

Combine first 4 ingredients in a small heavy saucepan. Bring to a simmer. Place tea in another pot and add boiling water. Steep about 3 minutes. Strain tea and return liquid to pot. Add spice mixture and fruit juices. Simmer 5–10 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
