The Gene Factor:
Genes and Cancer
This general reading on the connection between genes and cancer focuses primarily on how genes control the cell cycle. In most science programs, the cell cycle is a topic usually studied in a biology course. However, you must remember that the agents that control the life of cells are actually chemical in nature. This reading describes the process only in generalities, and, may be appropriate in either a biology class or a chemistry class.
