Christine Nawa

Charles C. Price Fellow, 2011–2012

Christine Nawa is a Ph.D. candidate  in history of science at the Universität Regensburg, Germany. Her dissertation work connects university history and the history of chemistry by focusing on Robert Wilhelm Bunsen’s research style and his teaching in his Heidelberg period (1852–1889).

Nawa joins CHF as a Price Dissertation Fellow in the 2011–2012 academic year. She will also work on Bunsen’s reception in America through his students. Her  further interests include the history of collecting and the history of scientific drawings.
