Before joining the Center for Contemporary History and Policy, Benjamin Gross was the Charles C. Price Fellow at CHF. As a Research Fellow, Gross contributes to case studies of material innovation and works with CCHP to propose and develop new projects related to the history of consumer electronics. Gross earned an undergraduate degree in history at Yale University and taught physical science for three years as a member of Teach for America. Gross earned a Ph.D. in the history of science from Princeton University. His dissertation examined the development of the first liquid crystal display (LCD) devices at the Radio Corporation of America to illustrate how scientists and engineers contribute to the formation of industrial research and development policies.
