New CEO at chemical foundation

The Philadelphia-based Chemical Heritage Foundation named Carsten Reinhardt as its new president and chief executive officer, effective Aug. 1. Reinhardt, a professor of the history of science at Bielefeld University, Germany, will replace Thomas R. Tritton, who is retiring. The Chemical Heritage Foundation, 315 Chestnut St., is a library and museum of the history and heritage of chemistry, chemical engineering, and related sciences and technologies.—Reid Kanaley
