A treasure trove of the early history of electronics, rescued from an uncertain fate at its old home in West Windsor three years ago, has been turned into a new exhibit that will debut at The College of New Jersey next month.
The Sarnoff Collection, an exhibit of more than 80 artifacts, letters, photographs, advertisements and other items named after David Sarnoff, chairman of RCA and founder of NBC, will open Oct. 2. Called “Innovations That Changed the World,” it will trace the history of telecommunications from the invention of the first radio to the early days of the information age. . . .
“These are really one-of-a-kind artifacts, iconic pieces of history that really merit great attention,” said Benjamin Gross, the curator and consulting scholar for the collection. Read More.
