“Frank Popoff Receives Petrochemical Heritage Award, Counsels Higher Industry Profile” in Chemical Week

The chemical industry is as strong, vital, and essential as ever, but it has retreated from the public eye, leaving the stage to newcomers and detractors, says Frank Popoff, former CEO and chairman of Dow Chemical. If it is not to lose control of its future, he says, the chemical industry must actively engage with the public to raise awareness of its place at the forefront of technology and its role as “the ultimate enabling industry.”

Popoff spoke in San Antonio on 31 March at the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers Association’s International Petrochemical Conference, where he was awarded the 18th Petrochemical Heritage Award. Read More.
