CHF hosts public events throughout the year—in Philadelphia and across the country.
In partnership with Philadelphia-area science organizations, CHF produces Science on Tap, a popular monthly science café.
Each month, along with more than 40 museums, galleries, and shops in Philadelphia’s Old City, we open our doors for museum tours, guest speakers, and hands-on First Friday activities.
Throughout the academic year we present Brown Bag Lectures—informal lunchtime talks on the history of chemistry, current political and social issues of importance to chemists and chemical engineers, and topics affecting the future of chemical research.
CHF also offers evening public lectures, including the annual Ullyot Public Affairs Lecture, as well as periodic Civic Science Lectures and Fellow in Focus presentations.
Our History Live events features first-person accounts of legendary careers before a live audience. Watch for installments in the San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California, Houston, New York City, and North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park region.
