The Eddleman Institute
The Roy Eddleman Institute for Interpretation and Education is the public outreach and education component of CHF. The institute brings chemistry to a broad audience through public programs, print and Web-based publications, and educational materials. The Institute also operates the Museum at CHF.
The institute’s mission is education: that is, to present and interpret CHF’s collections, intellectual assets, and materials to a variety of audiences, including teachers, students, researchers, the media, and the scientifically curious lay public. Its programs seek to devise novel ways to bring out the science in everyday life, using CHF’s peerless collections and the creativity of its staff.
Find a full listing of programs, which range from a monthly science café to lectures, exhibits, a podcast, a magazine, and an exciting educational video competition.
The Eddleman staff supports its programs by serving on the public programming team, helping to promote attendance, and staffing events.
