Thanks to Chemistry ›

Thanks to Chemistry is a multimedia project that showcases the chemistry in our lives. Whether it’s artificial sweeteners, insulin, or a car tire, ordinary (and not-so-ordinary) stuff has a story to tell. Through Chemical Heritage magazine, the Web, radio, and podcasts, Thanks to Chemistry makes visible the people, circumstances, and forces that created these objects and put them to use.

In 2010, CHF encouraged high-school students nationwide to submit brief documentary-style videos about individual elements. All approved entries are displayed as part of an online interactive periodic table. In addition the best videos were premiered before a live audience during CHF’s 2011 Heritage Day events.
