November 12, 2010 | Distillations Staff
This week we continue our first series within Distillations. In this 4-part series we are looking at the four classical elements, one per show—earth, air, water, and fire. Today’s episode is about fire. We look at the different ways people have tried to protect themselves from fire. First find out about flame retardants and the legislation that required their use in households around the country. And next, producer Anna Boiko-Weyrauch talks to a burn victim who needed the artificial skin, Integra, to help heal his badly charred body.
