Events Every Day Next Week at CHF


Our busy week concludes with a First Friday event dedicated to the art and science of glassmaking.

CHF will host free, public events every day next week from scholarly and serious to silliness and spoof.

Tuesday at noon the first Brown Bag Lunch launches a new year of talks by CHF scholars speaking about their work. The first speaker is John Stewart, CHF’s Allington Fellow, talking about the appropriation of affinity by those interested in chemical mineralogy.

Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. CHF will host the monthly meeting of the Consortium for Community-Based Science, a group that aims to develop technical resources to address environmental hazards in the Greater Philadelphia area.

On Thursday evening CHF will host a Simulcast of the Ig Nobel Awards. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The Original Miss Sweetie-Poo will speak a 7:00 p.m. and live streaming of the event starts at 7:30. Popcorn will be provided. BYOB.

On Friday, we close a busy week with our monthly First Friday event. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Learn about the art and science of glass.
