“If you don’t ask, you don’t get.”

Jamie Strachota

Women are often faced with a stark choice: career or family. There must be more options, says Jamie Strachota, but first women have to ask for them.

Strachota is the executive manager for Women In Bio and a technology transfer consultant for TRSG, Inc. After receiving her B.S. in microbiology in 2004 Strachota worked at the Walter Reed Institute of Research in the virology department. She then obtained her M.S. in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University in 2008 and worked in the business development department of the Biotechnology Industry Organization before joining Women In Bio.
