“I feel like it’s in my blood, that this is where I belong.”

Kristine Chin

After getting her master’s degree Kristine Chin found herself working in industry as the first woman in an all-male lab. It was a challenging experience, and one that she left to eventually find her true calling.

Chin is the manager of technical programming at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), where her primary role is to develop the content of conferences and workshops. From 2001 to 2007 she served as the publisher and editor-in-chief of AIChE’s flagship publication, Chemical Engineering Progress. Before joining the AIChE team Kristine was an editor at Chemical Engineering magazine, where she also launched a start-up publication, ePlant. She holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering from the Cooper Union School for the Advancement of Science and Art.
