“Don’t limit yourself to just science.”

Savannah Sullivan

The job market for highly skilled positions is more competitive now than in previous generations, says Savannah Sullivan. Learning outside your chosen discipline, she says, is the key to standing out.

Sullivan is currently a research assistant at Abt Associates where she coordinates outreach for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Chemistry program. She also writes proposals and performs data collection, analysis, and literature reviews for the EPA and other governmental programs. She graduated from Oberlin College in 2011 with a B.A. in economics and environmental studies and a minor in chemistry.
