Société de Chimie Industrielle (American Section) Fellowship

The Société de Chimie Industrielle (American Section) Fellowship is designed to stimulate public understanding of the chemical industries. Applications are encouraged from writers, journalists, educators, and historians of science, technology, or business. Multimedia, popular book projects, and Web-based projects are encouraged. Applicants must specify how the outcomes of their projects will reach a broad audience.

Period of fellowship:  Three months in residence at CHF anytime from September 2008 to August 2009
Stipend:  $15,000; travel allowance also available
Application deadline:  15 February 2008

About the American Section of the Société de Chimie Industrielle

The American Section of the Société de Chimie Industrielle is involved in a number of nonprofit activities. It sponsors the leading monthly luncheon speaker program at which prominent CEOs, government leaders, and scientists share their views on important industry developments. In addition to the Fellowship, it jointly supports a minority scholars program with the American Chemical Society, and it honors individuals who have contributed significantly to the industry through its International Palladium Medal.
