The Warren G. Schlinger Symposium
The 2009 Schlinger Symposium explored sustainable chemistry and engineering, the chemistry of energy sources, electronic materials, health materials, and emerging global economies.
The SCI Gordon E. Moore Medal
The Society of Chemical Industry awarded the sixth annual Gordon E. Moore Medal to Emma Parmee of Merck and Company to honor her early-career success in discovering the first and only dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DDP-4) inhibitor for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
The Perkin Medal
Following the Innovation Day events at CHF, SCI awarded its prestigious Perkin Medal to Richard B. Silverman of Northwestern University.
