Join us in celebrating the 500th anniversary of Hieronymus Brunschwig’s Liber de arte distillandi de compositis, one of the books on display in our exhibit The Alchemical Quest. To commemorate this anniversary we’re welcoming Robert Cassell, cofounder of Philadelphia Distilling, the first craft distillery in the state of Pennsylvania since Prohibition. Cassell’s presentation will explore the history and science of distillation—and one of its most practical applications: liquor.

Talks and tastings will take place at 5:15, 6:15, and 7:15 p.m.
