In honor of Women’s History Month, CHF has partnered with WHYY to present an hour-long television segment based on The Catalyst Film Series: Women in Chemistry.
Join us for a preview event at WHYY headquarters featuring two of the film subjects, Uma Chowdhry and Mary Lowe Good, live in conversation with filmmaker Glenn Holsten and WHYY’s Behavioral Health Reporter Maiken Scott.
We’ll also screen the hour-long television segment highlighting eight leading women in chemistry and celebrating the common element that catalyzed their journeys: a life-changing, chance-taking, thrill-seeking love of science.
This event is held in partnership with WHYY.
About The Catalyst Film Series
The Catalyst Series: Women in Chemistry presents individual films about Nancy Chang, Uma Chowdhry, Mildred Cohn, Mary L. Good, Kathryn Hach-Darrow, Paula Hammond, Stephanie Kwolek, and Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw.
The featured women work in a variety of chemical careers, ranging from entrepreneurs to policy makers to research chemists, and come from different generations, countries, and racial and ethnic backgrounds. They all have made significant contributions to the chemical sciences.
