Our popular kitchen-science series returns with a presentation on one of our favorite cozy comfort foods: freshly baked bread!

Technological innovations have brought us chemical leaveners, industrialized processes, and a better understanding of how biological leaveners like yeast work. We'll take a look at the history and science behind lofty loaves: how do these leavening agents make bread rise? How have scientific discoveries changed the way we make bread?

Talks and tastings will take place at 5:30 and 6:45 p.m.
