There’s more to space food than astronaut ice cream! Meals designed for space travel must be lightweight, shelf stable, and easy to handle in a zero-gravity environment. Join us as Jen and Gigi, our favorite kitchen-science duo, dish up the science behind every astronaut’s meal. Samples will be provided!

Talks will take place at 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

About Suited for Space

This event is presented in conjunction with Suited for Space, showcasing the ingenuity and innovation behind the ultimate life-support system—the space suit. This exhibit was developed by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) in collaboration with the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. The national exhibition tour, generously supported by DuPont, is on display in CHF’s Clifford C. Hach Gallery through November 14, 2014.
