Roger Eardley-Pryor

Roger Eardley-Pryor is a historian of contemporary science, technology, and the environment, and was a research fellow in the Center for Oral History at the Institute from 2015 to 2018. His previous work explored the legacies of the U.N. Stockholm Conference of 1972, scientists as environmental and political activists against chemical weapons, and the recent histories of nanotechnologies. As part of the Arnold O. Beckman Legacy Project, he is investigating the scientific research institutes that bear the Beckman name—in Illinois and across California—to better understand recent changes in material, social, and intellectual aspects of science.

Eardley-Pryor received his PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2014.
